    so i just got my G73, i haven't opened it yet. doing a lot of reading about it here on the forum.

    i read a couple weeks back about a thread on how to know which screen u have and i cant find it today.can some1 link that for me pls?

    also, can any1 tell me anything that i need to do prior to installing all my software and setting my laptop up? tnx

    Depends on the model. If you have A1, A2 or A3 they are the same 1080p LED.

    If have one of the X series, then it's either LG or AUO or whatever, use search function.

    Not necessarily, since Kalim has the X2, and I the X3, and both have the 1080p Hannstar LED. :)

    i have the bestbuy version. which is G73-RBBX05.im sorryi forgot to mention that i did use the search function and to no avail. i even tried to search each and every page from recent until the 50+ page. nad all i see are problems with screens but not the guide on how to tell which screen u have.
