So I've got creative drivers working, CCC, and synaptics but I tried getting tubo boost technology I think it was and it said I didnt recognize my computer. Also none of the turbo boost butons or anything.

Loving my new SSD, had a huge problem when ghosting my old hard drive to the new SSD. The g73 decided to go to sleep while transfering, corrupting the whole system.

All working now though. Just need to know what basics I need.

    Cheers.

CPU Driver? Not sure what this means.

But for GPU driver, you can install Catalyst 10.8 downloadable from the AMD website here:
    AMD Support Search

However, you must first install the latest VBios BEFORE installing Catalyst. Instructions to install the VBios are here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/515309-how-fix-your-gsod-blues.html

Also, the above is only for the G73JH model.

    *edit* Sorry, misread. iata96cd.exe is multi-language, iata96enu.exe is English...choose wisely ;)

RAID? Not supported on the G73JH but it's part of the driver since the Rapid Storage Technology driver also replaces the "old" Matrix Storage drivers.

    " Note: Intel® RAID Technology requires the Intel® ICH9R/ICH9M-E/ICH10R/PCH-PCH-M SATA RAID controller hub, Intel® 82801HR I/O controller hub (ICH8R), Intel® 631xESB/632xESB I/O controller hub, Intel® 82801GR/GH I/O controller hub (ICH7R/DH), Intel® 82801FR I/O controller hub (ICH6R)."

Because given the limited choices - the standard driver that comes with Windows or the Intel driver made for the drive controller. The Intel driver performs better (and a bonus for those with Intel (and compatible) SSDs, handles the TRIM functionality automatically).

Nothing special....it's just a newer driver that was not available when the G73JH shipped. Why do people upgrade to Catalyst 10.8? Enhancements! Better performance! :)

For the SDD i have installed Intel Solid-State Drive toolbox. For the rest, I let drivermax to keep my system with latest drivers always.

For realtek, creative, ati (and nVidia) use driversweeper, for the rest of the drivers, drivermax do the job.
