I just bought the g60vx off newegg, the one with the old core 2 duo processor. But yeah ive been reading about this laptop that it has over heating problem and a lot of ppl are getting the bsod? I am kind of nervous now but the price was such a bargain, 690 bucks. I was going to get the g60jx but its sold out like almost everywhere. Anyone using this laptop want to share some tips and tell me how it runs and such? Should i get a cooling pad for this laptop? If so which one is the best?

Use it first and see what the actual temps are, if they are bad report back.

Video will be around 95-98 degrees under load. Cooling pad might help, any are good just to get it elevated, and there is a specific forum for the G-series laptop. Top of the screen, can't miss it.

Yeah I have the G51 and as stated above my GPU gets to about 95-100c under load without my cooler.

I grabbed a cooler and now it gets to about 90c max.

i was looking to get either one. this is way to hot. i want a notbook to be in the acceptable levels. its like my notebook now is not suppsoed to go over 80c but i no it goes over but i can return it to get it tested and hey will change parts to fix the problem.
but if asus reported that the max tem is 90 then ill be ok with that.
