This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm glad things are working for you, but older vBIOS? I guess you mean you were using a modded vBIOS before.

    Ok! sorry my mistake and probably why I broke my GPU. Read the one post wrong MSI vBios Version is 012.019 and ours 012.017.

    Just something peculiar, techie working on my notebook wanted to run fumark on the new board and gpu. as soon as he started to try and run the fumark test it flashed the first graphic and shut sown. Tried it twice and same result.

    Mine did that. I ran Furmark with 10.7 drivers and got a thermal shutdown. I wanted to see if it would work correctly with the latest Asus video driver so I removed 10.7, cleaned up, and then installed Asus 10.1. Furmark would just blink and shut down with 10.1.

    I ordered some ICD7 paste and put 10.7 back on after that. I never did get it to run with 10.1.
