Well, my baby is finally home today. I did a good once-over and I'm still checking things out, but it seems to be "acceptable".
I specifically requested that I don't get an AUO replacement since my last AUO was garbage. Sadly, it appears I received an AUO replacement. However, before I checked to see, I thought it was an LG or Hannstar, because it really does look great, especially compared to what I had. Kudos.
The keyboard is another story. It's clear that they didn't bother replacing it after they removed it because the whole top edge is popping out a noticeable amount. I can let that slide.
My temps are down a tad since it was repasted. Happy about that.
When I got it, it still had 10.7 installed from before I sent it. I did a complete uninstall and installed 10.8, since I was told the new GPU firmware was installed. I received a GSOD shortly after starting Furmark, so I reflashed my GPU with the vbios here, and did another complete fresh install of 10.8. I also checked that it was running 211 bios and it appears to be.
I'm going to keep testing in games and whatnot. Needless to say, if I get another GSOD, well... let's just say things won't be pretty.

So what you are telling me is that the bugbears are still using the .SAM firmware?
-
I assume so. Of course, they did this early last month, maybe before they got any updates?

Possibly, tho I fired off a reminder anyhoo.
