    Hey guys.
    I'm OCD.

    Love me.

Anyways, to the point. How do your keyboards look? Do you use a cover or an external keyboard, or do you let the keys 'bald'? My brand new g73 keyboard is already showing signs of wear. I've tried covering the keyboard but it was too difficult to type on. Somehow knowing that other people's keyboards are wore down makes me feel better. :p
Also, do the keys ever wear down to the point where the letters on the backlit keyboard are distorted, or are the keys higher quality than that? I guess I'm okay with the keyboard looking used as long as the letters stay in good shape.

If you want, share pictures of your G73 (or anything for that matter), especially the keyboard.

They sell replacement keyboards for it so if it ever gets to the point where you hate it, you can easily replace it yourself. I haven't had mine long enough to comment on the wear. :)

I saw this video on YouTube where this guy took the keyboard off. Apparently it's glued on? When he took it off, the thing was all bent and stuff. But I guess that doesn't matter if you're throwing the old one out anyways.

That's true. If you check Asus site there is a post there somewhere telling you how to take it off from one of the techs.

The guy should have came here and learned how to do it properly first! :) It's double-sided tape, not glue. It can be taken off and put back on many times if done carefully.

A replacement costs $20 + $5 for shipping in the US. Part number is 04GNV33KUS00-3. Currently says out-of-stock on the Asus estore site.
