I have a g50Vt and when the g51's came out... I was like.. man... I wish my keyboard lit up... SO I was thinking of the cheapest way of getting my keyboard to light up.

Can I buy a G51vx palm rest/touchpad (Where the keyboard goes) and a backlit replacement keyboard from ebay, and just replace what i have on my existing g50vt?

The only thing I noticed was that on the picture... the replacement g51vx backlit keyboard had an extra cable... maybe for the backlit...

is that connector only on the 51vx motherboard or something?

ok, so i just found the keyboard mod for the UL30, so now i know that i can solder a wire to a +5 V source and i will have a lighted keyboard... I'll post pics when i complete this mod.
