Has anyone else seen this happen? The S key on my keyboard will quit working at some sites or forums.
It has happened to me a few times now and it seems to be software related .

This only has happened to me when I am online in a text field.
I have never had it happen while I am working in a word processor .
Anyway if anyone has an idea of why this is going on please let me know as I can not find the cause.

There are several possibilities, BattleNut. There is an issue with some G73s that cause it to drop keystrokes. Mine does this. However it is not the same key all the time so that's probably not it and there is no fix for yet.

The next possibility is a bad keyboard. You can RMA it. I bought a used keyboard from eBay pretty cheap and swapped mine out myself for a different reason.

The third possibility is to do with the browser. You may have to google that one. In my research for the keyboard lag issues I ran across users having a problem with Internet Explorer throwing away keystrokes. It was universal in IE 8 Beta but I think it got fixed.. I'm not sure, but I know IE8 had that problem at one time.

Thanks Jody, I checked and so far it has something to do with the browsers, I use Firefox and Chrome . It is random and it never happens when I am not in a browser. As to having a RMA I just got it back, and I had the same issue with the other keyboard. But on this one they seem to have fixed the lag that I had on the other system. I do not get very many dropped keys on this one. Every now and then. I had to slow down my typing as I type very fast and I can not do that on this machine. But so far it is working.

I guess it has something to do with this type of keyboard and the software , I have had a few others here where I live have the same thing happen.

That is why I posted here to see if any others where seeing this.
