I currently own an ASUS G53JW-XA1 with a backlit keyboard. I recently had to remove the keyboard to install some extra ram (from 6gb->8gb), and in the process I damaged my delete key and it no longer stays in place.

The model number for my current keyboard is: 04GNV33KUS03-3. This keyboard is currently out of stock on the Asus website, and similar keyboards are slightly too expensive. Because of that, I have found another similar keyboard found here: Genuine Asus G51V G51VX Backlit Keyboard 04GNV33KUS00-3 | eBay.

First off, will this keyboard be compatible with my notebook? If so, does anyone know what the difference is between these two? I've been trying to find the difference but haven't had any success.

Lastly, after I fix this issue with the keyboard, I am planning to sell it on Craigslist. I purchased the laptop for $1,300 roughly a year ago. I had intended to ask for $750. Is this too high/low?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Yep it's the same keyboard, except the finish may be slightly different. I'm not sure about the G53, but the G73 has a silvery metallic finish to the keys.

The G51 has a matte black finish. The surfaces are a bit different, with the G73 being slightly slippery where the G51 keyboard isn't.
