    hey all,

this is my first post.. i have gathered so much info from this site i thought i would share something. im a huge starcraft fan, in fact i have been playing the game for over 10 years.

i wasnt going to get the second installment as i thought one game in my life was enough.. that was until my gf bought it for me.. lol.. well this meant that i had to buy a new laptop.. after doing a bit of research the g73jh was the only option. bought it and love it.. except for one thing.. and that was the numpad.. WTH! and they have all that space to work with! Starcraft, like any rts you need to be fast. actions per mintute wins games..

problem was i could never find the arrow buttons.. and moving back and forward to build and navigate (with arrows) was sending me insane... it was actually making me lose alot of games.. lol..

my solution was to get rubber feet, not too thick cuz it might start touching the screen, hole punch them into little disk then use glue to stick them on. the glue doesnt ruin the buttons and you can take them off any time... I can feel for the buttons now and dont even neeed to look at the keyboard anymore.. this worked so well i actually prefer it to a regular keyboard. if i hadnt done this im sure i would of sold the laptop by now.

After a week of owning the asus, the rubber feet fell off.. asus told me that they couldnt send out the replacements. i had to send my laptop to them. i said no way and just stuck rubber feet i got from ebay.. i stuck a few extra on and now its rock solid whe it sits on the table.. and im not scared to drag my laptop across the table cuz they stuck on like crazy..

other mods are a crucial ssd, another 2gb of ram, and logitech anywhere mouse, a massive targus bag and some tweaking with power setting for the ssd.

im getting score of about 12500 on 3dmark 06 which seems kind of low compared of some of you other guys.. it plays sc2 great so im no concerened al all :)

with all this power i cant believe how cool it runs and how quiet it is...

has anyone figure out how to over clock the 720? i went through the benchmark thread up to about 50 pages and was informed it couldnt be done.. is their an update on this?

Yeah, it's ridiculous that Asus won't send you rubber feet.
This is why I'm going to be sure all of mine are present before Asus EVENTUALLY returns my laptop to me.
