Hey guys, long story short, since my second RMA all of the keys on the top half of the number pad area flex considerably (farrrr more then the rest of the keyboard), make a double clicking sound when pressed and cant be pressed too quickly as the second press doesnt register.

They function fine, but as a Comp Sci Major/Student in College I use the number pad and those symbols often and so this flexing and double clicking is becoming a real pain

Now I can apply pressure to the area between the numlock / 7 and 8 keys, the problem goes away, above/between the home and pgup keys, the problem goes away, insert a flat head screwdriver in the slot above the end key, and the problem goes away...

Any ideas to make this pressure/reinforcement permanent? Like some sort of glue/tape above the home/pgup/pgdn/end keys? Or some other fix with the same results?

You can pop the keyboard up and stick some foam in the area you want additional support.

"That would raise the keyboard more no? I believe I need additional force down not up =/"

Was about to post that then decided that if I wasnt going to listen to suggestions why ask the question =X lol anyways I took a post-it (foam/cardboard was all too thick), folded it, taped it shut, compressed it as much as possible, undid all the tabs on the keyboard so I could get it up a ways, stuck it underneath the numlock back slash ect, put the keyboard back down and presto! all is well :D (the keyboard however wasnt bent like I thought asus had done, so i still dont know why only that area was messed up after the second rma)

    Thanks Chastity :)

now if only a fix for my microphone were so easy...

Carpet tape will affix the keyboard firmly to the chassis as well. No more bounce!
