So i've skimmed through all of these posts, and i cant really see anything that will help me, at least not anything i can personally do without help. I have this problem, when i use battery life and it drops (roughly) to 35%, it SERIOUSLY lags, on everything, opening web pages, games as simple as solitaire or out of the question, and i need to reboot before i play any games. As i have paid so much for the laptop, should i return it for a new one? This means shipment back to america (im in the UK). IS there any fix for this that i can download? Also while im here, turbo boost...does it actually do anything? I notice no change whatsoever, the laptop doesnt even make a sound as if it has had an effect. Any help appreciated. I have actually looked through the section on this, but there was nothing there that helped.

your power4gear settings downclock your GPU/CPU when below 35% battery. If they don't come back up even after you plug in the laptop and get it charged up then you haven't updated your BIOS to 209. Update your BIOS to 209 and that will fix that issue.

Turbo Boost is a gimmick, just ignore the fact that it is on your machine.

Turbo boost just dynamically alters your clock multiplier to increase your processor's external frequencies on demand. It's supposed to increase performance in minimally threaded applications (where low clocked multicores suffer), but who knows. What is a gimmick is Asus' twin turbo mode, which ironically makes your system slower under most circumstances.

To update to v209, or 211 actually. Just go to Asus' site and download the correct bios for the G73. Unzip and place on a flash drive formatted in fat32. Enter your bios by pressing F2(i think) when your laptop boots and you see the Asus splash screen. There you should find an option to flash your bios using EZFlash. I don't recommend you use WinFlash, just use the bios flash utility.

You can also use the latest Winflash (2.30.3) to flash your BIOS. I tried it out with 211 and it went fine. I would just disable any AntiVirus software first.
