    LCD or video card problem?

    Hello I have a personal problem and wanted to know if someone has the help!
    My friend is with this problem in the Asus G73 him.

    We've tried nothing ... and the VBIOS Any other tips?
    or should I call Asus for warranty exchange?

    That's probably a screen/inverter issue. It's easy to check... hook it up to an external screen, when the problem persists it's the GPU, otherwise the screen/inverter/cable whatever.

    If you did not update your video drivers and had this problem you might have a defective display, if you did install the latest drivers you might wanna test the default ones and see if it happens because, if that's the case then the vBios Update should fix the issue, if not then you should probably RMA your machine.

    In the external monitor 100% ok!
    only in the same notebook screen ....


    I did a clean install with the factory drivers.
    my friend said he never had to change drivers, had a good performance ... more so now!

    Assuming you have never disassembled your system it's faulty hardware, screen, connector, cable, whatever... Call ASUS and send them your machine (in case you're still covered by warranty)

    That's a PSOD. You'll need to RMA since it's a hardware issue.
