I got my G73jh back from bestbuy service b/c of a bad vid card, and it would load into windows run for about 5 min and freeze. so i booted into safe mode and poked around the internet for a while and found the sound fix. i used the guide and it worked like a charm, then after the next restart i lost almost alll sound its really low and i reloaded the drivers off asus website and still its really low. so i open the creative software and it tells me theres no audio devices available, so now im stuck and dont know where to turn, if theres any one thast can help , please let me know

it kinda sounds like the only sound im getting is coming from the sub woofer. but i could be tripping i just got out of the hospital

Never mind, this volume contol in BIOS only works on the POST sound so this can not fix the issue

Anyone want to be if he opens his Playback devices, he has 2 "Speakers" entries? One is the laptop speakers, the other is the Sub.

Uninstall the Realtek Audio drivers, do a Driver Sweep with 2.85, then install the current Realteks. (2.57) You should only have 1 "Speakers" entry in playback devices.
