Hey guys, my G53sx-DH71 seems to be getting pretty hot when playin wow on ultra settings. The laptop gets to 71c and the gameplay starts to get slightly choppy.

If someone could link me a good laptop cooler for this laptop it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys!

Before jumping onto the laptop cooler bandwagon, have you tried blowing the dust out of your laptop thoroughly?

I know I have seen some folks here mention that simply blowing the vents out may not be enough, and for better results, you may want to get into it deeper.

How long have you been playing WoW on Ultra settings? Is vsync disabled as well?
Were you having issues in WoW with these settings before?

The laptop is only about 4 months old, and the vents don't look dusty. In the beginning it was running fine but this past 2 months ive been playing for longer periods of time and its starting to act up. I have vsync enabled because if I have it turned off i get screen tearing.

Also I have the laptop raised about an inch off the surface of my desk.

If you live in a dusty area or have pets, 4 months can be a long time.

Zalman and CoolerMaster offer some decent laptop coolers from what I have seen here on the forums.

WoW does have the capability to bring even my desktop GTX580 down at times during raiding with ultra settings.

True words right there. My money is on dust as well if your temps climb up. Note that 71C is very cool for a gaming laptop so i wouldn't worry at all.
