    Good choice there and trust me you will see lot better temps with that cooler than the other coolers , you will have to reposition the fans to be under the air vents under the laptop.

    and the G53 cooling is good but you know laptops cooler always better.

    Elevating the laptop is a good idea but unless you intend to remove the maintenance panel to get the air into the laptop the vents dont do a great deal.

    I used the Zalman series which are great for workmanship, quiet and still give a good cooling ability. I found the storm and coolmaster series too noisy.

    @Dallers
    I'm shocked and saddened to hear about your laptop. I hope you stay on the forum because you're very helpful and I enjoy reading your posts.

    As for cooling, like Dallers said, opening the bottom panel is the thing that actually makes a difference. I saw a 4C temp change when I left mine off.
    The tradeoff is a possible increase in dust intake.

    I recently bought a Cooler Master Notepal U3. I love the innovative design but the fans themselves are underpowered and don't move enough air to affect temps.

    Cheers fella :( I think Kinpinzero took the brunt of the news the other day so I owe him an apology as I bit his head off lol

    Went to work and they robbed me shortly after I left should have expected it where I live so I have moved out straight away. Didnt care bout the other things taken but the countless hours and hard work on that model I am shell shocked by it, as they stupidly logged into my live account which is linked to my xbox I am praying the old bill can trace them but I wont hold my breath.

    I will stay on the forum but gonna start looking for a new model once the insurance money comes through it depends if I can survive on an Eee pc till the next G series :D

    hm, maybe I placed the fans wrong. Or maybe because I already had the bottom panel off.

    Well Dallers I'm glad to hear that you'll at least get some insurance money so you can get a new rig. I wonder if theives ever think about how much their actions hurt their victims...

    megaX05, I still say that the fans on the U3 are surprisingly weak. It's expensive but I heard that the Storm SF-19 is very effective.

    Cannot beat the model I had sadly but if I cant get it back I will go for a newer model I dunno why but I may even switch ranks to Nvidia and see what all the fuss is about :D

    The storm is a monster for cooling it knocked off 8-10oc from my max load temp when I removed the maintenance panel and fired it upto 2700RPM, the Zalman ran at only 700rpm but the large fan made the difference, I bought the cooler monday it was stolen wednesday. You couldn't write it hahaha!
