    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good replacement for the 17.3 display? I'm looking for a glossy screen cause I hate the matte one I have.

****EDITED: Oops, wrong version - I heard the AUO B173HW01 V4.0 is nice. I actually have HSD173PUW1 matte one. I hate it, terribly dim. I'm not sure its matte, I just assumed. I think I read a review where they used the matte version of the hannestar

    Thanks!

since when did the JH-A1 ship with matte screens? What's the model of your current screen?
I though the HSD173PUW1 V4.0 was the default screen for JH-A1 and A2...

Well this AUO panel is supposed to very good according to the dell and clevo users using it..

and here's an entire thread about its comparison with the hannstar screen..

Edit: i believe that AUO screen comes in both matte and glossy variants and you most likely have the matte variant
