Well, ever since 1-2 months, all games i play cause my laptop to heat up like crazy, fans turn up 100% and temps reach almost the point where it shuts down or there are gsods

This was 5 minutes ago, when i was playing the crysis 2 demo.

    It almost shuts down?

Your temps aren't great, you're right. A repaste might help (it should, your MemIO is drastically different from your Core temp) ... but it might not help as much as you think.

My temps are 91/96/91 with furmark, and 85 max for crysis 2 (iirc). So while you'll get a 15 degree drop on MemIO easy, your other temps may not fall that might.

Repasting it isn't hard, if you can hold a screwdriver in one hand, and avoid taking an eye out with the other.

On the other hand, you may want to send it to asus for a repaste. Run furmark and see what the max temps are. If it shuts down, call and tell them it shuts down when under stress. Get it repasted for free.

Also, try blowing out the vents with compressed air, when the computer is turned off. Blow INTO the computer with them. Just to clean the dust off the fans. That has helped some people get a 10 degree drop!

Eh, that *might* help... but not as much as a proper can of compressed air. Don't use an air compressor, the PSI is generally too high. Best buy OUGHT to repaste it for you. Or you could wait a few months and push for a SB replacement.
