The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. FYI, BB doesn't allow that type of linking...you'll get a 404. But there's already a G73 BB thread.

For an extra $45, you can get a full 1080 screen plus a blu-ray optical drive and longer warranty at an online reseller.

So let me get this right, for $400 more you only get 2GB more RAM ($50), and an extra 500GB hard drive ($130)? That's $180 total RETAIL increase, not their cost etiher. No Blu-Ray player, no bluetooth, same screen, same CPU? What are they thinking?

I'll take my -A2 with 8GB 1066MHz, 1920x1080 screen, and bluetooth for only $50 more, thanks.

That's retarded. the 1599.99 one is a total waste. You're basically paying 400 dollars for 500gb and 2 gigs of ram.....

Damn that's pretty good for $1200. The 1600x900 res screen is prob better for gaming. Too bad I'm in Australia...

Sucks that the screen resolution is way way to low for me!

Do not tell like this. Many are here still happy with 1366x768 resolution on a 15-16" laptop. Full HD is out of question :D

I believe that 4/4 is the target date for the 05 config to be available in stores, but someone has reported getting one 'right off the truck' at their local Best Buy in Tulsa, OK. Someone else reported here having ordered and received an 05 and having to return it for a replacement already. See this thread for more info...
