    Hi all,

I am from Australia and will be heading to the US in may. I was looking to get G73SW-XA1 from amazon $1399 sent to my hotel whilst there, however it seems like they are now all sold out with a expected delivery of 2-4 weeks (staying in US till 28th may).

The next best option seems to be the G73SW-XT1 from tigerdirect for $1499 (paying $100 more for -250g hdd + bluray player).

    ASUS G73SW-XT1 Laptop Computer - Intel Core i7-2630QM 2.0GHz, 8GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, Blu-ray/DVDRW, 17.3 Full HD, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Black, 2-Year Warranty / 1-Year Accidental Damage at TigerDirect.com

I have had a look at the page and was wanting to confirm that it does have a 2 year global warranty on it. From what I can see it has the Asus360 pic posted on there but when looking at the warranty information it doesnt state global.

    Just:
    Manufactured by: Asus
    Warranty provided by: Asus
Limited Warranty: 24 months parts; 24 months labor
    Mfg Part No: G73SW-XT1
    UPC No: 884840794820
    Box Size: ( Length: 23, Width: 5, Depth: 15 )
    Shipping Weight: 13.4000 pound(s)

Has anyone purchased the same model and could give me the heads up? Id rather pay about $1500 and have global warranty than pay this...
Asus 17" Notebook - Computer, Laptop, Notebook & Netbook Computers - JB Hi-Fi - Smashing Prices!

Also if it does have global warranty, do I have to be a US citizen or provide a US address when filling in the warranty?

I have tried contacting both tigerdirect and asus and both have been very unhelpful with answering this question

    Thanks in advance

All the warranties offered by Asus are Global, so it's a non-issue for you. :) If you ever need to service it and you get issues, just contact Mason@Asus on asusrog.com's forums.
