Looking for Sleeve for G73

I have a case (bag) for the G73. I'm looking for a notebook neoprene sleeve that fits the G73 well. Something that fits tight enough that I can put the notebook/sleeve combo in the laptop bag. Anyone found a sleeve? I can't seem to find one that fits well.

You may want to take a chance on this one. I just ordered it tonight myself. I really like that it has no zippers which could possibly scratch the finish. Most every sleeve I've seen do not open wide enough for my taste.

Yea I talked to the owner of Slappa. He measured it for me because I have a Slappa laptop bag that holds my G73 but he said the sleeve is so big that it would not fit in the laptop bag. Bummer. Thanks for the head's up.

 

Let me know how that works out. According to my measurements if the sleve's measurements are accurate, then it won't fit the laptop.

 

I did purchase this case Amazon.com: 17" Widescreen Laptop Notebook Sleeve Carrying Case Bag for Fujitsu, Samsung, Dell, Acer, ASUS Eee PC, Gateway, HP, Sony, Compaq, IBM, Mac, Sharp, Toshiba models: Everything Else. Figured since it was only $5 plus $3 shipping the how can you go wrong?

So how does it work with the G73? Bottom line....barely....but it works if you are willing to live with a very tight fit. As the comments on Amazon say, "it is very stretchable". This is good as you can see in the pics on top of the G73 it is smaller than the G73 dimensions.

The good news is that with some effort it will fit and offers some protection. It is the only sleeve that I know of that will work (and is not overly huge) with the G73. This is perfect for me as it fits nice right into my Slappa messenger bag.

Good news is this sleeve has no parts to scratch the G73 and the way it's stitched and quality of construction, it doesn't look like the tight fit will break the stitching but only time will tell. I hope it will "hold" some of it's stretch but again only time will tell.

 

According to the team over at WaterField Designs, the best fit for the G73 should be the 34-26 Laptop SleeveCase.

Haven't ordered one yet, but according to the dimensions, it should work.

 

Not sure if this helps any, and I haven't checked personally, but I know the cloth sleeve that comes with the m17x fits the G73 personally. I forgot to give it back when I returned my Alienware. I'm not sure if you can purchase these through Dell/Alienware, but it may be worth checking out. There is no padding whatsoever (so that may turn you off), but it will protect it from scratches. I'm using it right now while I wait for my Slappa Spyder backpack to come in. I'm currently using the Alienware sleeve and an old cheap dufflebag that can't even close. No scratches yet

 

Targus Messanger bag fits perfect. It is what I use. You can pick it up at Best Buy.

I'm not getting the Targus gallery to load to see the inside, but is it big enough to hold the power brick and cords?

 

Yes, I had 2 games in cases and the Psu all inside it. This case is very big and has alot of space. It actually stretches alot. I could almost fit another laptop in next to the G73.

 

I have a bag which fits the G73 perfectly Ballistix AURA Black Laptop Shoulder Bag by SLAPPA but I wanted a "sleeve" to put the latop in and then into the bag. In fact you can put two G73's in this bag!

 

Holy Expensive!!!

 

The Slappa? Yes but it's very nice. I tried the Targus and eventhough the G73 fits there is barely room for anything else except in the small side pockets.

I got a 18" laptop sleeve on Amazon. Pretty decent fit.
