    ASUS estore - no
    laptopking - no
    asusparts - no
    ebay - no

There are quite a few asus hinge covers on ebay, I *think* the G50 or G51 should fit the G60, if you ever find one.

I'm needing the main cover that covers the GPU,CPU,HD,RAM

I was completely dumb enough to drill a large whole where a guy on YouTube though it should be, he sounded like he knew what he was talking about! Well needless to say, this has ruined my laptop and now I need that part once again..

I also cut the blue wire...

LOOOOOOOOL, why tha hell would anybody drill a hole in their laptop???? This is soooo funny, i'm sorry for you. these kinds of parts are hard to find individually, you can either try finding part from ebay, if not you can always check out the asus parts store:
    ASUS eStore
another option would be to call a asus reseller/repair store and ask them...i doubt you'll find these parts off the net

They used to have some parts like this but from what i can see they carry keyboards, caddies, bags and other non specific parts. Well in any case, good luck and please, file a retraining order on that drill!!!

You cut holes in the GTX 260m-powered laptops because it'll help temperatures tremendously. On an overclocked GTX 260m I haven't broken past 86C, even during a 85F day and playing Crysis But honestly, No1up, what did you do? Sounds like you did something horrific to it.

By the way, that thread Ken linked to is old. My mods look much prettier now.

I dont get it, how does this laptop overheat? LOL the big vent in the back and two fans...why are people saying this laptop overheats??

No my work was awsome, lol perfect, almost like from the foctory, but it helps the CPU not the GPU, the GPU is HOT! and because the CPU is cold the GPU fan wont turn on until the cpu gets hot, by that time the CPU is around 90c and the laptop start to act wonky

G60vx, right? It only has one fan.

Hmm. Where did you cut? Depending on the model you have, on your bottom plate you'll have a fake subwoofer. Cut that sucker open and put some mesh over it. The big design problems with the G60vx and G51vx was that they choked off the fan. If you give the fan a direct intake of fresh air it'll keep your innards nice and chill.

Do not do this!!! I cut it it was a big mistake!!!!

Um, I didn't post that question here on this thread, I was asking about the G73 and why or how it could overheat, not the G60... I'm just gonna stop posting lol, my threads are acting wonky! Lol

Big mistake? That's exactly what I did, and to this day I think I have the coolest-running G51vx on this site.

Well, had. I sold it. But still. Overclocked GTX 260m, yet it ran cooler than most people had at stock.
