Recently while I'm playing games, my fan is starting to get loud. After about ten minutes of gameplay my fan cranks up and sounds like a jet engine. I am also noticing some stuttering, and occasionally crashing. I am not sure if my GPU is overheating. I monitored my temps and my GPU (9800m GS) maxed out at 105 C. I had this laptop for 2 years, and I don't remember the fan being loud when i got it.

Your fan + heatsink is probably clogged with dust that built up over those 2 years.

Use a can of compressed air to try clear it out but its best if you open it up and clean it by hand.
