I decided to buy Shift, but I am pretty disappointed with the performance of this game. I run it on 1080p no AA/AF, all the other settings on high, but I don't get decent fps: 18-38 depending on how much cars are on screen at a time.
I wouldn't be upset if I knew the g73 couldn't handle this game better. But it can, as seen in youtube videos (check quagmire's for example). And most of these guys run it with stock clocks. My 5870 is clocked at 810/1250.
Video BIOS Version: 012.017.000.004.035992. Catalyst version: 11.4

The Vbois is not the most Current..

I would get the most current.
THen go back to 11.2 drivers and try again....

If I am wrong about the Vbios I blame the internet..
As I get my data from the threats found here...

I know that it is not the most current, but from what I understood I can brick my g73 if I update it, so I'd rather not to (out of warranty). Thing is that I don't seem to have problems running other games. Everything that I tried runs as well as it runs for the majority of the g73 users.
