    Hi,

My G73JW is used mostly for office and graphic work, often with a Wacom tablet. Everything is fine (or seems to be) for that.

    I wanted to test 3DMark06 and I obtained a 9849.
This PC is expected to rise much higher, right?

If you have any opinions and advice, thank you in advance.

    @ + ;)

Did you get this from Best Buy??? :(

If so you might have been caught out by their new scheme of putting out a much slower 1GB version of the 460m GTX with only 40G/s bandwidth and a 128bit memory bus.

Run GPU-z to check if this is the case.

You lose around 2000 points in 3DMark06 and it cripples the GPU and bottlenecks against the power of the Sandy.

If you do have the 1.5GB 192bit version check that you have the latest drivers and that you are running in performance mode and have powerplay at high performance and that you are on AC power (As battery mode will run the clocks a lot lower) and then run it again.

The standard testing resolution is 1280x1024 also not full HD.

    Thanks.
But I'm French and living in France, I bought this G73JW in France.
    And I have the 1.5GB 192bit GTX460M version .
My G73JW is made by ASUS, warranty by Asus.
