My G73JH has a red vertical line down the middle and I guess at this point there isn't much to do but get a replacement. I tried messing with the wires but nothing works.

My question is, is the G73JH capable of playing games in 3d IF it had a higher refresh screen? I'm not sure if 3D at this point is limited to Nvidia, so any help would be nice.

I figured, since I'm getting a new screen, I might as well get the best one possible, which would probably be the something capable of 3D gaming.

No, it is not capable as far as I know as ATI only started introducing 3D in the Raedeon HD 6000 series. (even that is still on the drawing board of sorts due to lack of support from hardware manufacturers).

There's a software addon that will do it, but I think it's too much trouble for what it's worth, and feedback on it says it's not as compatible as say nvidia's solution. Ask Ken for more details.
