Seems like the installed 8GB is not enough for my workstation so I want to upgrade to 12GB total (2x4GB upgrade and 2x2GB stock)

Will this type of memory work and is it considered good memory?

    Kingston ValueRAM 204 Pin 4GB DDR3 1333 Notebook RAM Retail [KVR1333D3S9/4G] - 760.00??? : Thanni.com, ?????????????? ??? ?????????????????? ?????? ????

What do I have to look for specifically when shopping for memory? So far I have figured out that I need 204 Pins, DDR3 at 1333mhz. Is that all I need to look at?

I should add that I'm not interested in overclocking. Just interested in getting rid of the Windows Low Memory pop up ;)

This RAM is the only RAM that I could find online in this country that (i think) will fit my laptop.

I've used 2x4GB Kingston value RAM + 2x2GB and now i'm running 4x4GB Kingston Value RAM and i've never had any issue. In short, yeah it will work, any 4GB DDR3 SODIMM should work.

Would it work to use 8gb ram chips?

    I currently have 4 x PC3-8500 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
    Could I switch out 2 or 3 of them with this ; DDR3 HyperX SO-DIMM 1866MHz ( PC3-14900 ) ?

Would the 8GB modules work, most likely. They won't run at 1866 MHz though and i don't think you'd be able to install 32GB even with windows 7 Pro as the OS.

what app are you using? Cause depending on what it is you might not see much of a dif seeing as something else could be the bottleneck
