I'm looking at possibly getting an ASUS G74SX-RH71 to replace my Malibal Lotus P151HM1.

How is it's durability compared to other computers like HPs or Clevos? How solid does the computer feel? Is the screen good? How much does it weigh? (I don't plan on taking it to college, but it would help to know.)

If I buy it here: AMAZON.CA will it come with the bag and mouse I've heard about? Will it last 3+ years if I take care of it?

Sorry for all the questions, but it would be great if I could get them answered!

I think youll be going a step down going to asus from a clevo (not saying Asus are bad or anything) but clevo's offer upgradability on their cards

Care to explain what you mean by "upgradability on their cards"?

I've just had my Malibal Lotus for about a month, and the fan has already made noises once, and the screens I've been sent have both had dead pixels. Plus, last time I sent it in for repair, the screen bezel got scratched up at the top rather badly.

I don't want to think about how long it will last if it's ALREADY having problems.

I also think that 4GB more ram, 2GB more video memory, 2" larger screen, and adding an optical drive is a step up, not down.
