welcome to 2010, you must do the update for the recent and upcoming games. Simple.
-
Just took the update - not really much difference
But I do like the lower temp's
Q -
but youve done the update already. how large is the difference in temps though?

The 10.9a worked for me after signing this files. -

I never did try but wonder if you can get away with only signing the files in the Drivers folder. I signed them all to be safe.
I wish there was a way to sign all files in a directory then you could do it in seconds, also I wonder if one persons signed files can be copied to another persons system. I think it has more to do with the registry than the file itself though so probably not. -
Interesting....
Loaded the drivers, signed them (THANK you for that - I didn't want to run the auto-program for setting up unsigned drivers) and while my temps are still too high (repasting soon) they did drop enough so that I don't get thermal shutdown in the same game at same settings I did before.
I'm gonna run 10.9a until officials come out.
EDIT: OK... I posted to soon.
Seems that once I turn off test mode, the drivers do not load. I entered all of the files into the 'sign drivers' field, one at a time, but does this mean you have to run always in Test mode? I'm sure I entered them all. Or do you have to enter one, reboot, enter the second file, reboot, and so on? -

This isn't what makes my drivers work on Mobility / IGP's this just adds your DeviceID and Description. Making the ATI setup work on any card/igp/mobility actually needs allot more work
Just wanted to clarify that, if you would do the above with the normal ATI drivers you wouldn't be able to install them with the ATI setup but only manually via the deice manager.
I spend many months working on this to make sure everything can be installed with the ATI setup, but it's not the above that makes the magic happen -

If you remove the test mode watermark via a program you will not even know and your system will be just like normal while remaining in test mode. -
There isn't any point in using 10.9a any longer. The 10.10 modded drivers at Guru3D or Rage3D have the PCI-E transfer fixed, around 3 GB/S both ways and the game performance has been solid. Also you don't need to do sign any files or use Windows in test mode. Just run the install and done.
Also the 10.10 are supposed to be released sometime this week according to Terry Makedon. -
The 10.10 drivers aren't fix for PCI-E transfer problem. This problem is not caused by drivers so it can't be fixed by them.
-
But before 10.9a, the full speed didn't work with certain intel chipsets with even desktop with PCIe 2.1 and for laptops at v1.1 speeds. 10.9a fixed the issue so those with desktops 2.1 go from the crippled 2 gb/s transfer speed to 6 gb/s. And for laptops running 1.1 speeds from 600 mb/s to 3 gb/s.
Look at the screenshots. v1.1 speed for G73jh should be around 3 GB/s transfer rate. Instead it's as low as 600 mb/s.
So yes it's both and the 10.9a and 10.10 fixed one of them. The other, there is nothing to fix, chipsets don't support full 2.0 speeds.

Nice pictures, thanks for posting. It's exactly that we are saying post before. In 10.9a (modded) the driver is unleashing the max available speed just limited for the mobo chipset which do not allow pci-e max theoretical speed. Regardless this observation, the performance gain in gaming is minimum. The real benefits will be noticeable in stream application.

Also (sorry for the double post) I'm willing to try and fix this for you guys as i think there is a simple fix / setting to enable/force PCIe 2* support for any device. If there is anybody here that is willing to give it a try let me know so i can get working on it.

Hi guys, I have a doubt I don't know if you guys ever faced it: whenever I try to download a new mobility driver, it doesn't have the driver itself - it only have the catalyst control panel
I tried to download using the Util or download individual drivers. I installed using this steps:
1. Removed previous drivers;
2. Rebooted
3. Install new driver and reboot
4. The resolution is still not the native one and when I enter catalyst control panel, it says the GPU is not supported and quits. I checked the device manager and no ATI driver was installed.
I checked the folder the driver uncompresses itself and no INF file is there... The INF file is there when I use the Asus old driver for my notebook (10.1)... do you have any tips?
thanks a lot! -

Tab "AMD Catalyst packages"
1. Catalyst software suite - 1mb (only downloads CCC)
Tab "Individual downloads"
1. Catalyst Control Center 69.1mb
Tab "Optional downloads"
1. HydraVision Package
2. Avivo Package
I could not find the full suite package
Is it the same for you guys? If you have the full suite, is it possible that you put it in a file sharing site and share the link? Thanks a lot! -
Here's the Suite w/ drivers:

Have you moved to 10.10?
Has it received the Chastity Seal of Approval?
Cheers, -
I'm on 10.10 WHQL, mostly because of the headaches associated with getting the hotfixes installed w/o disabling Signed Driver Enforcement.
-
Thanks a lot Chastity!! I am downloading it now and will test it later
By the way, is the link you posted the 10.10 WHQL? -
Yessir.
-
Chastity, thanks a lot! Installing this driver worked perfectly!!
