I would like to add a second monitor to my g75 but i have a question.

Right now i have an hdmi cable that connects from the laptop to my tv for when I want to watch movies on the big screen.

laptop is at my desk and I would like to set up 24in to use as my main monitor at my desk when i am not using the tv. right now I can just switch back and forth real easy to the laptop screen or the tv screen.

Question how would i go about setting up 2 monitors (tv and 24in) to use as my main montior or would I not be able to do that?

I not infront of my laptop now but i think it has a vga connection also but i would like to use a digital connection for the monitor.

Would i have to maybe get a thunderbolt monitor?

    Thank you in advance.

You will want to get a displayport monitor and use the HDMI for your tv.
