Got my 8970m in today. I made some videos for you guys.

I was going to install the video card tonight but I just realized that the thermal paste that's on the heatsink literally got scorched when I was using the rotary tool -_- I can't remove the scorch marks! Going to let it sit in some acid and see how it is tomorrow. I may or may not install the 8970m on Sunday. Debating weather or not to remove the heatsink from my 7970m. I want to sell it. If anyone is interested, I think 200 or OBO is good for it. Already pre modded. Just install.

Thought I give up a quick update. Finish designing (more like cutting) the individual heatsink. Took several hours and I have a few good videos for you guys but sadly, when it was plugged in, I got no post. With the 7970m, when it was fist installed, before the vbios flash (with enduro off), it would post.
So I'm thinking it's either because its a Dell card flashed with a Clevo bios (with enduro off) or the Dell card is just simply not compadible. Unfortunately I don't have the means of flashing it (don't have a Dell Laptop), so I am going to ask the place where I bought it and asked for it to be flashed to something else, MSI or something. They do have Clevo cards from what I see but only sold in China and again I would have no means of flashing it unless I had a compatible laptop. I already called them up, waiting for a call back, they may send out another card with a different vbios (cross shipping). Hopefully I will be able to do another attempt soon.

I have currently a 7970m now. Was hoping to have this upgrade. Still waiting back on the place where I bought it about flashing it to a different bios

I haven't seen anyone ever try. Going to send the card back and have it flashed back to stock with Enduro off and see if that works.

I will keep you guys informed. I do have a spare G73JH and a extra GPU heatsink now. I may end up buying a CPU for it, cheap 720, to test it out with. I hate having to take the thing apart. I got my Sata ribbon today. I now have to mod the GPU heatsink and end it off with the GPU to get it flashed again. The tech company has offered to test it out with my spare motherboard. May most likely ship it today or monday.
    I'll keep you guys informed.

Hey guys unfortunately, the shop where I bought the 8970m ended up refunding me my money after I file a claim with paypal. The issue was that I shipped to them a G73JH motherboard and the 8970m I bought back to them. The guy by the name of Mike wanted to try different VBIOS. He has a Alienware capable of flashing the card. The problem was that he had the motherboard and the card for 2 weeks and ended up not doing anything with then. So I got frustrated with him and filed a claim.
I am going to go with saying that the 8970m Alienware version will not work with a G73JH. Unfortunately when I had it it would not post. Either its because it was a Dell flashed with a Clevo vbios or it could bet hat even if it did have the stock vbios (with enduro off) it probably would not have worked anyways.
If anyone is going to try this I would recommend getting a Clevo/Sager.
I don't mind buying one but I do not have the means of flashing the card. I could use the same script I used for the 7970m blind vbios flash but I do not have 1, the script file and 2, I don't know where to get a vbios with enduro off. Only place to buy a Clevo/Sager 8970m right now is over seas and I just don't know if I want to spend that kind of money.

I am open to suggestion, I am not against buying a 8970m but I would need the communities help.
