I put in a new hard drive with a new copy of Win7 (Home SP1, 64bit) in my asus g73jh.
Prepost F2 menu recognizes the BIOs as Asus, but my OS does not.
I'm trying to finish installing the drivers but many of them are failing to recognize components, or the fact that the notebook is an asus at all..

I attempted to reflash the (bios in prepost f4) with 205, 206, 209, 211, and 213 but they all had an error that was like "Bios read failly" and just reflashed the 204.

I'm out of ideas and I read almost everything stickied on this site, so I made an account & post in hopes any insight.
    Thanks for reading.

I went back to winflash and the error I get is:
    ""Read file failly!"

can you post me a screenshot of msinfo32.exe please (the System Summary page)? That should shed some insight about what Windows regognises and what not.
But in any case, the latest Bios is really recommeded for the G73JH.

Holy enormous images, you can't post such large images on NBR (think of the people stuck with low res screens), but i took care of that. ;)

    You can use the code
Now on to the Asus problem, did you install the ATK package, those issues are usually related to the ATK package rather than the bios itself. The Asus logo can be added via a registry tweak. It's possible that it is linked in the sticky, but it might not be. One of our members, kurolionheart i think (not really sure though), made a thread on how to change this.>

Thanks Tijo for the heads up, I definitely didn't make it to the rules page yet. I'll check out the ATK package on Chastity's ROG thread (I just found it through google.)

You can get the ATK package from this post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/8334226-post9.html. Note that all Asus utilities will not install without the ATK package installed first. Even if they do install, you'll get an error that it can't run because the ATK driver is missing.

By the way with your latest SS, i can tell that windows does indeed recognize the notebook as made by Asus since it clearly states that Asustek is the manufacturer.

You got it Tijo, I had to repair the ATK.
I had installed it earlier but I uninstalled the one I had and reinstalled the new one.
I had to use a flash drive to load the new bios. I've got it from here. Thanks for the help!

I hope my inquiry has the right keywords for other people who are googling for answers.
