I myself like the 10.7a a tad better then 10.8s on the 5870m..

As for scaling issues with firefox im not sure what you mean exactly beyond holding the ctrl key and moving the mouse wheel back and forth depending on how large you want the text to be on the screen..

I dont use any plug-ins myself for enlarging text.. I just use the control key on the keyboard and i move the mouse wheel back and forth to enlarge the text based on the website i am on ... On my 2560x1600 screen i have to do this alot because things can get so tiny i would be blind trying to read it lol..

Make sure you select "Zoom Text Only" if you don't want all your images looking blurry.

You sure you wan't SSD? It won't run on full speed. So it would be like if you were installing 32bit OS, the 8GB RAM is there, but you can only use 3,5GB :)

Not such a good comparison there...
My SSD still performs over 40x faster than a 7200rpm HD on the crippled 4k reads/writes without any registry tweaks.
Other reads/writes arent really affected. And with some tweaks you can get it to nearly full speeds.

lol the SSD is great.. i've done a few tweaks and waiting for a proper power settings one.
