    Hi!

A few years ago my g73jh has come across this weird issue where the hdd keeps on clicking and the system temporarily freezes. There's an example of it here.
Asus G73Jh making random noise - Crash problem - YouTube

The problem wasn't so bad at first, but the clicking frequency increased up to a point where my laptop won't even detect the hdd anymore.

So I bought a new hdd, a WD 500Gb to start new and fresh.

I installed the windows via the recovery discs, but the same problem emerged within one day! =(

So I called WD and asked for a replacement (long story short I couldn't afford the time to go return it in time)

They sent me a brand new hdd, and this time, I installed windows on it via flash USB. For some reason it wouldn't let me install with the recovery discs.

I figured out that I could avoid all the ASUS bloatware this way too, so I was like - why not.

But this time, I can't even get past the setup.
When I entered the product key it had this huge freeze, and I had to wait for around 15min only to realize nothing happened, so I pressed " skip".
But the hdd seemed to be making a different noise this time. It was as if something was screeching a while and then calming to an abrupt halt.
After that, it was frozen on " preparing your desktop" for hours that I went afk to do some work, and came back to find the initial setup page -_-

So when I tried to go through the setup again, it gave me an error saying - Windows cannot be installed on [that] partition.

Has anyone else's G73JH done the same? Kill every hdd that you give it somehow?

Can it be fixed? *fingers crossed

I'm planning to get a SSD, but do you think the computer would kill that too?
