    Hi!

Yesterday, my G75VW-laptop started making a low whirling noise (not sure what you call it...), but it does not come from either of the two fans that i can check easily.

Any idea on what it is, how to fix it, or if it is a guarantee case?

The only modification done to the laptop is that i have setup two SSD`s in RAID0. <3

    I recorded the sound: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/83758451/strange_fan_sound.3ga

Well if it is a problematic fan, there's not much you can do while it's under warranty, without voiding your warranty that is. Is the screen guard for the fan dirty?

Nupe, all clean :) I even ran the computer without them on, but it appears that the sound does not come from the two main fans.

Perhaps a dedicated GPU/CPU-fan which i cant access?

How did you run it without the fans? Or you are talking about without filters. There are only 2 fans inside. Your noise problem could be related to vibrations from something inside the laptop.

It's a little difficult to hear, but it sounds like a sort of high pitch 'whirring' noise - sort of akin to a draft from a small opening - which would make me think it's fan related and not vibration or electrical noise.

It could be the bearings don't have enough lubricant.
