I bought my g73 from BTOtech, and I added the international warranty of two years and one years refurbished warranty from BTO, yet I've received no documents or anything else about it, even the Driver CD is missing, what should I do?
Is anyone willing to upload/know where there is a driver iso? or should I just dowload the latest of them one by one? Thanks

Well if it makes any difference my new one from BB had no Driver CD and if it had any documentation I can't remember any.

Check the bill for warranty if not printed on it then you might get screwed ...
And the driver cd .. trash material .. all drivers outdated b4 the cd gets printed.
W7 fresh install should work out of the box then just get on the net and download the newest drivers 1by1.

If dedicated notebook forum is the wrong place then ...
    .... was that a serious reply ?

since when is this forum more dedicated then his vendor? that was very serious. the user cross posted for help on here and our forum. no reason for that. there are countless souls here that purchased from vendors that care not about them.

I'm fairly sure your reseller is the only one who can provide you with a legal copy of the documentation.

Geared2play, you've "helped" me in the past by subtly implying that there are never hardware failures in new notebooks, only user failures.

I would never buy from you, and I would suggest that people avoid your advice.

Perhaps he was wondering if his serial number was linked to a warranty of some sort?

Since when do computer vendors show emotion? Shouldn't you be like go to our site and post a topic and we would be glad to help or something? Go read newegg when people start busting on different products and the vendor steps in the response it always nice and warm hearted. Sidenote Customers are "NEVER" wrong... (im not trolling just throwing my opinion out there)

Wow, way to make your company look real "caring".
A simple "Sorry the CDs are not usually included, but send us your info and we can send you a copy" would have been sufficient. Your response alone I think would turn any potential customers away from your company.

right Chastity, I was just in a rush, and honestly I wanted to know more about the warranty (still waiting for the final asnwer I asked in their forum) than the drivers CD

    So far all seems smooth...
No keyboard lag, vBios were already updated, I finished the windows clean install now, and installed a couple of latest drivers already and some tool, burning your iso right now, then I should try some benchmark... to see if I've any problem and max temperatures...

I also have an AOU 139E, which isn't that bad... well coming from the iMac world almost any windows laptop looks bad... anyway I wonder if there are BETTER 1600x900 beens... but I guess only full HD ones can have better viewing angles?

Asus does not ship discs with most notebooks. They have a system restore partition on the hard drive and a utility to burn a DVD backup. I downloaded a clean ISO of Win 7 from the forums here and the drivers/utilities I wanted from Asus (no log-in required to download drivers).

Yeah, played black ops with some nice temps, I only had one freeze but I guess that was the game, not the pc, anyway, I won't mind a matte screen... right now I'm satisfied, but say I wanna swap it, where should I look for one? I saw many people posted https://www.laptopscreen.com/ for their screen upgrades, but seriously, I can't even read a single specification about the screens, just resolution and backlight :7

I just got my refurb from Newegg. Been putting it through intense workout for a week with Crysis Warhead, ME2, NFS Hot Pursuit, 3DMark06, 3DMark 11, and Prim95. I agree the cooling on this baby is top notch. The bottom ofthe laptop doesn't get hot like most other ones. Hot air simply gets pushed out through the healthy sized air vents on the back. I'm still figuring out where the air intake comes from. So happy with this baby.
