I had been wanting to get a G53/G73 for a few weeks and I chose XoticPC because they had the upgrades I wanted, they didn't charge me sales tax, I got free shipping, and 2% off if I paid with a wire (my bank doesnt charge me wire fees).

I ordered my G73JW with the 128 GB Cucial SSD upgraded and removed the blu-ray since I have a ps3 for that. I originally ordered the G53 but I wanted it sooner, so I ended up changing my orderd 2 or 3 times before I finally got it to what I wanted (Hutsady was very patient with my constant ordering and reordering).

Then, I saw some posts on here about longer production times and I felt that if I wanted to get it within a reasonable time frame, I needed to add rush processing. So, I called them and added rush processiong for another $49. My laptop shipped out 2 days later and should be in California this Thursday. While I was waiting, I talked to Joseph from Xotic about feeling like I had to get the rush processing, he understood my concerns and refunded $25 of the rush processing fee.

Overall, they were a delight to deal with and I feel good knowing that they tested my laptop before sending it to me and that I was treated like a valued customer instead of just another order.

Thanks to everyone at the Xotic team!

Good to know, I think I'll be using them once the 3d version of the g53 comes out.

I have not found any cheaper for the g73jw, and their chat support is phenominally helpful, so I think that I will be purchasing through them as well. Hutsady K is the tech that I have spoken with, sometimes for 40 minutes at a time, and they answered EVERY one of my obssesively anal questions without fail.

i do believe gentech's G73's have been cheaper than xotic's ones.. also their service is way better.. got mine shipped in 24 hours of getting stock.. and no processing fee.. strongly recommend gentech.

Yup my G73jw was shipped from Xoticpc yesteday. I did my research and they were the cheapest for sure (stock price same as gentechpc, but they have more ways to get you discount and if you live in CA, expect to pay ~$150 more to order from gentech) . I canceled a downgrade from blue-ray to avoid going through production and testing and they shipped it immediately after a few hours. Their customer service is great and they respond fast any way you contact them, even through this forum. Overall, I'm very happy with their service.

    This.

In my personal opinion, the 'added fees' to rush your order is just a cash grab. GenTech ships mine in 24hrs too.

I'm willing to wager (although they will not admit it) that companies who have the option of 'rush fees' (or suffer waiting 5 business days for it to ship) will leave your laptop on their desk for the entire 5 business days, ready to ship, but will not actually ship it b/c you didn't pay the 'rush fees'. That's just my opinion. They're wagering money on your patience.

xoticpc was the lowest when I purchased mine with the customizations I wanted. Other places wouldn't remove xxx part or if it did it reduced the total less than xotic would

I also purchased mine from Xoticpc. placed order last week. Hopefully they ship it out soon. Can't wait for this beast to arrive. I called and emailed multiple times and always talked to Hutsady, very happy with his help. I would recommend Xoticpc. The only disappointment was that it took 2 days to confirm my order, but it wasn't their fault.

We have a rush production option only for people who plan on customizing their laptop and want it shipped quickly. We certainly don't hold on to orders just to hold on to them so it looks like we are busy. We just really are that busy. Just like everyone else we want to provide the best service possible and that can't be done by stockpiling orders. If someone has a deadline that they need to meet we offer the rush production option to get their computer in front of a tech right away. Otherwise it goes into the production queue and is completed in the order it was processed. Anyone who purchases a stock machine doesn't need to purchase rush because stock orders are shipped in 1-3 business days. Usually the day following payment processing. I hope that clears up any confusion and provides a bit of clarity.

Before this turns into another reseller war, I am quietly curtaining off this thread.

OP: I believe Xotic has forums, you should post this there too.
