My asus never came with a recovery disk just a driver disk.
Earlier today my notebook froze and when i turned it on the system files were corrupt. I install Win 7 with a spare copy i have. No drivers will install as it says this isnt an asus notebook....

Now what i would love a nice and kind member to do is upload their backup disk as an image file to the web. PLEASE

    maybe you dont see it?
Windows 7 should recognize that its a asus by default
    like this:
And if it dosnt then it may be win7.
Are you updated to the latest service pack?
it dosnt make sense that the drivers dont randomly install
If the hardware is there it should install

the win 7 disk is a no but ive never heard any problems from the other down loaders, over 6000. They never gave a copy with the system so i had to go out and buy disks to burn the installation cd. Your recommendations on what to do?

    Well i see 2 options:
    Go buy a retail win7
or download this burn it then enter your cd key.

Btw i do not support piracy in any way.
So after installing enter your key or a hospital will blow up ;)

Uh, go to Chastitys page and install the drivers from it?
Doesn't get much easier than that.

(And no, your system won't show ASUS as the manufacturer if you install off of a Windows 7 disc vs the included recovery crap.)

At the point where you removed factory installation and installed clean windows, the information about Asus got lost. Origin of the install disc has nothing to do with that, they all would do the same.

You can edit the Asus text there yourself, either manually or with a small program. Unfortunately that information is just for show, it shouldn't have anything to do with the original driver install problem.

...and, instead of those piratebay links, rather use ones we have here in the software forum, such as http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...-digitalriver-windows-7-sp1-13-languages.html.
