Hi everybody,
I've purchase the new G73JW-A1. Very excited.
I expect to receive it in couple of days. This gonna replace my DELL XPS m1530.
I've also purchase a OCZ Vertex 2 Extended Sandforce 120GB.
I'm gonna show the performance of my XPS m1530 vs G73JW-A1 (fresh Win7 install, updated drivers and SSD).
Of course I expect a big upgrade from the XPS to the G73. Let numbers talk.
1.
XPS m1530
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
CPU Intel Core2 Duo T8300 @ 2.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
4GB DDR2 RAM

Got the beast yesterday. Check this out!
-
did u OC the GPU because at stock , G73JW can't beat the JH...
P.S : My GPU score owns you... your CPU score is just so high.. how did that happen? Mine is 11K while yours is 26K. -
Where do you see it beating the JH?
The WEI score is lower than the JH. -
this guy's fishy.. his CPU score looks hacked... really... you get 11000-12000 at most with a 720qm or 740qm... maybe 20000 with 920xm oced... but this guy has 26000 with a 740qm? Really?
-
he has physx turned on which allows that one test to be done on the gpu which fakes the cpu score to be insane
-
There is nothing 'fishy' or 'hacked' -- as the previous poster mentioned, PhysX is turned on. This was defaulted to be on with the new drivers, I believe. This skews the results. It is easy to not notice that it was defaulted to be on, so there was likely no intentional deception here.
And the 5870 doesn't "own" the 460... certain words imply strong dominance and should not be used when the actual real world usage measurable difference is so little, and varying. Everybody has already seen benchmarks and can decide for themselves. -
well not suprising.. more NVIDIA hacking... and the ATI is 20-30% better GPU score so its owned... just like all NVIDIA junk.
-
The 5870 is not 20-30% better, there's no one who'll back up that ridiculous claim.
-
Sean you really seem so insecure i actually feel bad for you..
Do you have nothing better to do then troll a guys happy experience with his new machine ?..
20-30% are you kidding me ? you really need to do your home work before you make such claims... You are the ONLY person on all of NBR who would make such a claim ... -
Nevertheless, congrats for TS. enjoy the new beast, it is definitely BIG improvement from your old machine
