Ok, with Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming up I'm planning on buying either the N53SV or G53SX. Obviously the G53 is more expensive, but if it's worth the while and there are good deals on Amazon, I might do it.
I honestly don't game that much anymore because I work so much. But I would like to play BF3 and Skyrim on at least medium, preferably high settings. My main goal is simply to enjoy the games.
My only concern is that I've heard of a lot of problems with latops overheating and dying due to intense games. Aparantly there is an issue with the high tech cards in the small space of a laptop. How true is this? Or is that not the case with ASUS laptops?
In general, if I use my laptop for work, entertainment and some gaming, will it last a long time if I take care of it? That's the most important thing for me because I don't live in the USA anymore, I live in Costa Rica which doesn't have ASUS support. So it would be a pain in the if I had to send the thing out for repair or whatever.
So if you guys think the N53SV can handle those games without killing itself I might get that. But if you think that the G53SX would handle it better and last longer I'll definitely consider spending an extra 100 or 200 to get that one.
Well... please let me know what you guys think about this. Thanks in advance. Ciao.

Just looking at the general spec of the N53...If you plan on doing any kind of serious gaming you will want to get the G53. For BF3 and Skyrim the N53 will probably run the games but it will most likely be at low graphics setting.
you can look at some of the numbers for the GPU in the N53...

So my two cents is if you plan on playing any of the new games and the one to come out in the next year or 2, get the G53, it's worth it.
