Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Ive posted a modded inf for our gtx/s in the G53sw owners thread.
And yes these drivers ROX. -
downloading right away!!
-
Hey Kingpinzero,
Thanks alot.
285.27 are about to run, just a few minutes to wait.
-
I have already tested in some banchmarks such as 3DMark11 and Heaven, I have to say this is really good and it can be seen during benchmarks.
3DMark11 in performance mode 1280*720 approx 2435
Heaven 1366*768 score 818 avrg.fps 32.5 all preset
825/1650/1625 still stable for G53SW 1366*768 3D -
very good driver compare to older ones
-
shiftee...how is it better than old ones? I mean. Where all did you see improvements?
-
perfomance boost in games + ~10fps(bad company 2, mass effect 2, ac 2, gta 4) and also in bad company 2 sky was flickering, now its not.
ps I have asus g73sw -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Yup big improvements in alot of games, nice boost in those dx11 games such Crysis 2 and dirt 3, not to mention bfbc2 issues fixed and some others.
Plus nice boost in benchmarks, I almost broke 2400 in 3dmark11.
If the whql are better than this nvidia is going back to their golden splendor once again... -
shiftee and Kingpinzero...damn. That is good. I'll download it as soon as I go home this weekend. Nvidia is really good at updating drivers eh? I wish the other companies learned from them.

i remove all drivers and installed the old ones and it fixd :/ -
Which method you guys use when updating the nvidia drivers?
Just run the installer and use the clean option install?
Or should I uninstall the current Nvidia drivers (total of 3) from programs, reboot, then run the installer using the clean option?
Just want to get it right the first time. -
I usually uninstall the old driver and do a clean reinstall of the new driver. Many people recommend using driver sweep before reinstalling but i had a bad experience the first time i used it (setup refused to complete installing after i ran driver sweep saying something in the registry was missing. Had to do a complete reinstall of windows in the end)

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
All you have to do is unistall the driver, boot in safe mode, run Driver Sweeper (check nvidia display/chipset/physx ONLY), boot in normal mode and install the newer driver using "clean" installation.
thats it. -
Actually when you run the setup " which should be included with modified inf file " then it works itself you dont ned to do anything and during insatallation from the customize section just select clean installation mine was like that and works great.

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
LuckySword nope that does nothing. It just removes NVCP related settings and profile but it still leaves a crap load of old files which will put your performance in serious doubt.
I made a guide for those who want to do it with the proper "guru" way.

thanks for the tutorial, after 275.33 my all system seems almost changed, I mean after clean installation now it is just working great with all driver updates maybe just my luck. especially this time with mod inf installation different screen appeared, screen was different and some screen asked for Nvidia approval for the further installation. but when I choose clean installation not like only profile and previous records seems all previous issues driver, physx, user set, whatever you think have been erased first and then installed new one and now there is nothing seems from past. For the performance side previous Heaven bench. was 790-800 and same sett now 818-825 with the same overclock values 825/1650/1625 ,,,285.27

Finally able to install these drivers as I completed restoring my desktop systems.
It's nice having my babies up again. Now I need to figure out how to get my server back online with this new cable modem... It has it's own NAT that I need to kill.

nice boost..downloading now

Hey guys,
since updating to this beta drivers i noticed that my gpu temp is up to round 60`C in regular use? I oclocked my card few weeks ago,but temps were just fine, round 45 in regular use and not more than 70` in games.
Can this be caused by te drivers?
Thanks!! -
60 is a bit high. Which GPU is this? Try reverting back to the old drivers and see if temps reduce. Or else, you could try using a can of compressed air to clean out the vents. Btw, what is the idle temp when the GPU runs on stock clocks with the new driver?
-
Falcon,
sorry its G73SW(so gtx460 1,5GB) . Ill reinstall the betas again and follow your advise. Will let you know the results.
Thanks! -
No no. Not reinstall the betas. What are the temps when your GPU is running on stock clocks with the new driver? Then uninstall it and try the old drivers again. Check temps with stock clocks and your overclock. Then try using a can of compressed air to see if that helps.
-
Falcon i tested beta drivers with OC and on stock values but temps are still same, round 60`C. I saw that new betas are out so i might try those instead going back to old ones.
Thanks for help bro,cheers! -
need help.. i tried installing the new drivers(285.83) but when i run it theres an error saying:
"NVIDIA Installer cannot complete
This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware"
Im using the g53jw-a1 and it has the gtx 460m
any ideas?
EDIT: SHoot! i just found out i downloaded the drivers for desktops. Nvm. downloading it now
