Hi just got a new laptop Asus G74SX and was looking around theres a folder called "3D Vision preview pack 1" so when i open a pic in there i get a Error window " Stereo Error " and it reads " NIVIDIA 3D Vision features are not enabled. Please review stereo setup information. Press Ok to launch NIVIDIA Control Panel ".
So I click ok and it opens the panel but i don't see anything about stereo setup :(

Can some tell me what i need to do please thanks :)

In NVIDIA control panel, in "Set up stereoscopic 3D", check that "ASUS 3D Vision laptop" is selected under "Stereoscopic 3d display type" instead of "3D Vision Discover"

Does your model come 3D ready? It will only be there as far as i know if you have the 120Hz 3D capable screen.

Did it come with a pair of NVidia 3D Vision glasses? 3D Ready is not the same thing. I lot of laptops with a decent NVidia GPU and an HDMI 1.4 output can do 3D but they do it through HDMI out to an external monitor. If your laptop has a 120Hz screen, it should have come with a pair of green and black active shutter glasses.

Nope, what i meant by 3D Ready is that its capable of 3D Vision out of the box without additional monitors. (It can be that the 3D Ready laptop is sold without glasses, but has 120 Hz screen+infrared sensor build in so that only glasses need to be obtained. At least couple of retailers had that for G74SX. But I've got mine with glasses and much cheaper [around 170 EUR saved] than local retailers from another country delivered to me by a friend)

All of the 560m and above have 3D Vision support for external monitors if the laptop has HDMI pretty much (there are only few exceptions).
