    Hey guy's in the effort of modding and testing i blew the fan in my G51j and i need to buy a new cooling system. Do you guy's know where I can find one?

    ummm i thought estore.asus.com had laptop parts....

    would i just be able to switch the fans out?

    It does look like you should be able to just swap the fans. It seems weird to me that if you are using an adapter with the same voltage, it would short out the fan.

    I'd open it up, check what is the part number on the fan and compare with the parts you found on ebay.

    no i tried more lol...it was a brushless fan so i figured it would work...nope

    Rule #1 always match the voltage on the laptop's stock adapter +/-0.5V. Too much voltage is one of the best way to fry something.

    its a brushless motor so i figured it would work...they are special motors ment to just go faster and faster with more power with little issues
