Hi everyone i recently got two G73sw from bestbuy one for me one for my brother.
My laptop works great and really fast.
On the other hand my bros laptop is making a horrendous fan noise. both the gpu and cpu fan running at 5051rpm i checked. why is that? the coputer is stock no games, no apps in it. nothing in the system. i was doing the backup cds and at the end i restarted and bammm. fans wont go down, wont slow a bit.
please help everyone. thanks sal

Run HWINFO and check the box for sensors only and check the temps at idle and load I would expect it is running pretty hot if they are flat out on both fans.

Or there could be another fault that is causing the fans to run at 100%.

Its idling so low because the fans are running at 100% sounds like they are jammed on. Turn her off take the ac power out and the battery out and hold down the power button for 10 seconds and wait.....then put it back together and fire it up.

    See if that works.

Well your options are to reflash the BIOS which hopefully should sort it out if its a firmware problem otherwise you might need to RMA it.

Just to check you didnt do the Force your fans to 100% trick by any chance?

My pockets are empty but hang around for further answers from other reviewers, I fear it might be an RMA issue if its something wrong with the Mobo its uncommon but I have seen posts in the past with this problem that could not be fixed and you have tried the most common fixes for it.
