    Hi Guys

Firstly, thanks so much for all the help your posts have given me lately.

My G73 has gone from the following idle temps [cpu / gpu]:

    stock idle temps - 58c / 83c
    cooler idle temps (thermaltake x23) - 53c / 73c
    cooler + duster idle temps - 49c / 59c

Also my vantage score has gone from 6600 (bad cpu throttling, now fixed) to 8300 :)

I now have a new love for my G73 and games are obviously running better (GPU was hitting 100c+ and throttling), and I want to do a repaste and 920xm mod as thats what all the cool kids are doing ;)

I read that some of you go for the Targus 180w when dropping in a 920xm, I am unable to find this adapter ANYWHERE here in Australia, nor anywhere that ships them.

I did find the following AU site that sells ASUS adapters and I was wondering if you could help me determine if any in the following link (180w) would be compatible with the G73?:

    Asus 19V 9.45A 180W

I know it will never be listed in their list of compatible models as obviously the G73 comes with 150w stock.

Thanks again guys, next stop repaste and 920 OC!!! :D

    Step 1: :)
Step 2: Looks down at signature*
    Step 3:

I'd say its a perfect fit. Same voltage / amps, and the tip size is also the same. Can't be sure though, best is to send a mail to the retailer. Good luck becoming cool !

Bit confused, which one do you think is a perfect fit?

There are 18 products in my link... or are they just all the same thing?

They surely all look the same to me :D. If I open em all in different tabs, and switch between the tabs, the only thing that changes is the title lol.

Um, those are still some pretty bad idle temps. Mine runs ~40c / ~47c without any coolers in a 23c room. What's your ambient temp?

If it uses the 5.5x2.5 plug like the G53SW then it will be compatible with MSI laptop adapter. There are plenty of 180W ones since they are used on GTX 570M system. You may have more luck looking at that direction ;)
