Well, my laptop is beginning to run very low on space. I'd like some recommendations on HDDs, as I'm not entirely sure what to buy. I'd like to get another 500 gig one though.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm not sure if there's a specific type of HDD that will work with the laptop, I'd hate to get something just to find out it's not compatible.

Any SATA 2.5" 9.5mm high HDD will fit, i think the thicker ones also fit in the G73. You will need to order a caddy to hold the HDD if you do not have one already.

I'm in the opposing camp: I prefer Seagate to WD. :)

Especially when it comes to external HDDs.

    Sorry about the late reply.
Alrighty, I'll look into that. :)

    Anywhere between $100 and $150.

Yeah, I opened the bottom today to make sure it didn't come with one, which it didn't. Bout to place an order on one.

By the way, awesome icon! I freaking love Tales of Vesperia :D

The thicker ones do fit, I have a 1 tb one in mine. You can also use the drive without the caddy, just use duct tape to keep it in place. I did that before but ended up getting a caddy anyways...

I might actually do that, the caddys seem way too damn expensive. Some of them don't even come with screws and they have the nerve to charge 30+ dollars and shipping.

You could get it from here if you live in the US: Hard Drive Caddy. Screws aren't included, but you could either use one of the two holding the other caddy in place or put something behind the caddy to hold it in place.
