    Flashing titles are no longer displayed when playing F1 2010 in a Crossfire environment.
    Video playback no longer intermittently displays a black screen when using Windows Media Player.
    Graphics and Gaming scores are now correctly computed in the Windows Performance Index.
    A BSOD error is no longer generated randomly when Crossfire is enabled/disabled after video/LCD overdrive settings are changed on HD 6900 series products.
    Crossfire is now correctly enabled when playing The Witcher 2 on HD 6800 series products. (when used with AMD Catalyst 11.5 CAP 5 release)
    Screen tearing is no longer randomly seen when playing Riddick 2 at high performance settings and with Crossfire enabled.
    The game Kings Bounty now renders correctly.
    The game Empire Total War now no longer displays random flickering and in-game buttons display correctly.
    Google Earth now performs smoothly in OpenGL mode.
    Crossfire is now correctly enabled when playing Cars 2 on HD 6900 series products.
    Sid Meyers Civilization V no longer displays intermittent graphical corruption when played in DirectX 10 mode in a Crossfire environment.
    Heaven 2.1 running in DirectX 11 mode no longer displays intermittent graphical corruption in a Crossfire environment.
    Crossfire is correctly enabled when playing LEGO : Pirates of the Caribbean on HD6800 and HD 6900 series products.
    Poor performance is no longer experienced while Playing Heroes of Newerth and when the cursor is moved to the top right or bottom right corner of the screen.
    Mouse cursor corruption (in the upper right portion of the screen) should be resolved

    Resolved Issues for the Windows Vista Operating System

    The screen no longer briefly flashes green while changing screen resolution and playing a BluRay title using PowerDVD 10.

    Resolved Issues for the Windows XP Operating System
    This section provides information on resolved known issues in this release of the AMD Catalyst 11.6 software suite for Windows XP. These include:

    World of Warcraft no longer randomly crashes or fails to launch when using an A-Series APU.
    Random graphics corruption is no longer observed while playing World of Warcraft.
    Playing Dead Rising 2 no longer causes the system to hang.

    Cool just tested games : Battlefield Bad Company 2, Call of Duty Black Ops, Fallout New Vegas, Crysis 2 <----- EA pulled there games from steam :(
    Everything Running great god i love this laptop max it all out runs great :)

    Usually fixes whatever they might have screwed up in the WHQL driver release and more improvements. Remember that hotfix for SC2? :D.

    After all they can't test for everything and there will always be bugs. Ever tried playing good old C&C3 with AA on the latest drivers, the screen is a nice gray fog :p.

    Just installed it and it runs fine haven't noticed much difference personally but I dont see anything in the release that will effect me that much.

    Just downloaded Brink mind so will see if this runs better since the openGL fix.

    still will install any hotfix since they have way more features than the official mobile version

    The official 1.2 patch fixed the problems in Witcher 2 I dont see below 40fps now.

    I'm downloading this patch, my last update was the release of the vBIOS update as well as the 10.8(?) ATI patch.

    I just installed the updated version. I turned the powerplay from the catalyst to decrease the temp of my GPU.
    I hope I don't get some lag while surfing or something like that from turning the powerplay on.

    Well 3DMarkVantage gives me a 30 point drop with 11.6.

    No noticeable improvement or loss in performance in real time gaming though, but 11.5b felt more powerful (placeboly).

    Since all the changes don't affect the 5000 series and the OpenGL optimization are laughable, I might go back to 11.5b.

    I have a question...

    I turned on my POWER PLAY in CCC then the GPU downclocked to 405.0 mhz.
    If I play games will it increased to default 700 mhz?

    Turning on powerplay decreased my GPU temp. so I did turn it on :)

    Just to make sure, i logged GPU-Z readings and the clock will go up to 700MHz and stay there as long as you are gaming.

    seems like there are still some problem with the cursor :s since Andrew said

    funny how they said it would be fix in 11.5 then 11.6 then 11.7 xD o well, great driver though :D

    Is it just me or when you install this driver, the driver just says ATI Radeon HD 5800 series instead of specifically saying 5870 under the hardware information tab in the Catalyst?

    If it peeves you enough, you can regedit it to an AMD HD6970M. Performance gains aren't included though.

    Yes has been the same since series 10.XXX drivers were released. My Gadget for gpu temp has stated 5800 forever it seems now. The only driver i saw that said 5870 was the 9.12 driver on the asus cd.

    has anyone notice that the mouse lag has been transfered on the left top corner? if you move your mouse from right to left it gets stuck at the top left corner! anyone experiencing this?

    Same here, no lag at all. Try disabling vSync, sometimes it gives awful lag when enable.

    My dxdiag with that drivers is showing only 716 MB of video memory, is that normal.

    So what's the latest version of 11.5? I'm using 11.5a RC3 right now, 11.6 looks to be useless so I think I'll stick with the latest 11.5 until something useful comes along.

    I'm running on 11.5 RC5 right now, no issues with mouse lag or any other problems, It actually fixed some issues for my old games: Pangya for example.

    Playing Red Faction Armageddon very smooth framerate, I plan to wait for a hotfix in case there is one, if not then probably until 11.7

    I'm running 11.6 and if you had about 1 hr lol i would list my games all so far run great just waiting on F.E.A.R. 3 to download and give that a try.
