Ive had my new Asus G75 which i ordered from Xoticpc for about 9 days now so it is relatively new. Its ran like a charm ever since it left the box and have been loving every game ive played on it.

The issue i am wondering about is i was just watching youtube vid today and all of the sudden about 15 mins into a 17 min vid on 1080p HD the whole screen just random was full of many different lines vertical and horizontal. Many of these lines were purple. Its a hard thing to describe honestly.

The video was paused so i cant say if it was still playing or not but i could still move my mouse around.

I closed the laptop for about 10 seconds to maybe fix it with a quick open but it did nothing, after i opened it then i could not move my mouse, everything was frozen. I then held the power button to force a shut down. I booted it back up a couple seconds later and everything is fine, runs just as fast, smooth, and as clear before.

I just thought id post about this incase it is a persistent problem and if it has been known to happen again.

This is my first "gaming" laptop, i am used to desktops, usually build my own, but with college coming up in a week i decided to get something a little more, well 10 pounds, of mobile gaming lol.

    G75 Specs:
    - i7 3610QM 2.3ghz
    - 16gb 1600mhz DDR3 RAM
    - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670m 3gb dedi. RAM
    - 750g 7200rpm HDD
    - 17.3" FHD 16:9 Matte LED (1920x1080) Screen

If anybody knows anything about this problem, or if i should even be worried about it, please leave a response. Tyvm.

    - I apologize if this is under the wrong thread.

Does the problem happen both on batteries and plugged into AC?
It's a long shot, but rule out electrical interference by running on battery only. I've seen a bad ground cause this type of interference on an LCD TV once.

It might be a loose connection on the display ribbon connector.

The laptop was plugged into the wall at the time. If it happens again ill unplug it and see if it still is happening.

It has not happened since but i thought id post unless its a known problem and i should b worried.

If it never happens again, then you can safely say that the nVidia driver decided to troll you with some weird display issue right at that moment.

I had this problem long time ago. Go to Nvidia website and download the latest driver will solve this issue.

Yeah I'd agree it sounds like a driver issue.
