Hi, sneaking at website support page I found asus listed drivers for the unreleased (yet) G73JW model. I would like to know if the bring improvements to our G73JH since they display a higher number version. For example, comparing both drivers found differences in the following drivers:

    JW
    Version V15.0.11.0
    Description Synaptics TOUCHPAD driver
File Size 17.16 (MBytes) 2010/06/15 update

    JH
    Version V14.0.10.0
    Description Synaptics TOUCHPAD driver
File Size 31.6 (MBytes) 2010/06/28 update

    JW
    Version V9.1.1.1027
Description Intel INF Update Driver Chipset
File Size 2.38 (MBytes) 2010/03/17 update

    JH
    Version V9.1.1.1023
Description Intel INF Update Driver Chipset
File Size 2.38 (MBytes) 2009/12/30 update

    JW
    Version V6.2.5.600
    Description Azurewave BlueTooth driver
File Size 56.94 (MBytes) 2010/05/07 update

    JH
    Version V6.2.5.500
    Description BlueTooth driver
File Size 59.46 (MBytes) 2009/12/30 update

There are also differences in the wireless section, ATK, Utilities (Wireless console 3 for instance), and, in the other section, this new for me driver/software:

    Version V9.6.0.1014
Description Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
File Size 456.86 (KBytes) 2010/05/07 update

Any one tried this new drivers? What about the last intel software? Any comments?

(No reference to any nVidia VGA drivers yet)

These drivers have been around for some time now, you just have to chose Notebook on the Asus download page and then Drivers or Apps not the G73model.

I've posted this some time ago and now updated it a bit. Don't use the China server for the bigger downloads, as you always get a corrupted archive file, the DLM link is great for the larger files like ExpressGate or PowerDVD.

    Drivers:
-BIOS: v211 - BIOS UPDATE GUIDE!!!
-Chipset: v9.1.1.1025 directly from the Intel website, I haven't tried this one yet: v9.1.1.1027

    -VGA:
    Asus driver v10.1
and for the GSOD free users: v10.7a

    -Audio:
If you have problems look here: Creative Software Debugging Thread
    1. Special Asus Realtek Audio driver: v6.0.1.5978
    2. Creative Software: v1.0
    3. Realtek 2.51 and Realtek ATI HDMI 2.49 (I only use these drivers)

    -ATK: v1.0.0005
    -Bluetooth: v6.2.5.600
    -LAN: v1.0.0.29
-WLAN: Azurewave Wireless Lan Driver v8.0.0.316
    -Touchpad: v15.0.11
    -Intel Management Engine Interface: v6.0.0.1179
    -Keyboard device Filter: v1.0.0.3
-Camera: 1. look here 2. if none of them work use the Harware ID to find the correct driver here

Do I need both of these drivers or do they conflict?
    -Intel Matrix Storage Manager v8.9.2.1002
    -Intel Rapid Storage Technology: v9.6.0.1014

Utilities (I want all my buttons to work :D):
    -Intel Turbo Boost Monitor v1.04
    -Power4Gear Hybrid: v1.1.38 (Windows Gadget doesn't work)
    -Wireless Console: v3.0.17
    -Splendid: v1.02.0028
    -ExpressGate: v1.4.10.4
    -Power DVD 9: Link

Intel Rapid and Matrix are essentially the same, Intel just renamed it... and they are for RAID support ?!?!?!

It's my understanding g73 has no raid support.

G73JH doesnt have RAID, but the drivers do support it if the machine has it.

Just not using creative (or at least not bass boost) will fix your problems. Any older realtek driver will also work.

I cant decide if seeing JW drivers online before its even released and when the JH problems still havent been solved (and theres a lot of em) is supposed to make me laugh, cry or make me even more pissed off at Asus...

They also support native AHCI(SATA) drives. For me they perform better with my Samsung SSD than the original Microsoft AHCI driver.

I went ahead and tested all the new drivers. No immediate difference with most of them, however, the syaptics driver installs oddly causing a series of UAC alert windows to appear when you reboot. They don't seem to ge away either. Anyone experience this too?

I heard from ASUS that they are currently working on updating the G73Jh driver page with the latest driver releases for all of the components. No specific ETA on when the changes will be made public.
