Yeah, i just noticed i have a stuck pixel on my screen today. I think i should fill out an RMA with ASUS? because my 30 day no bright dot warranty is still valid for another 5 days.

Edit, actually the pixel looks dead...

Asus ZBD policy does not apply to dead/black stuck pixels, according to the warranty terms; only "bright" stuck colored pixels are eligible for replacement. You're on your own.

Try the solutions by Tinderbox, or look around Google for others.

I just called them and they didn't say anything about not applying to "Dead/black stuck pixels", I scheduled a pickup time and they said they would fix it...hopefully.

I'm not entirely sure if its dead either because the pixel doesn't look fully black, its more of a brownish color against a white background.

They're more than likely to look at it and just send it back as not meeting the warranty terms. Meanwhile, you're left with not having your notebook for a week or two while they process and then ship it back UPS Ground.

But perhaps you'll get lucky. Best wishes!

ugh you might be right, i just called them back and asked them about it, they said its different from a "bright dot", however luckily i just noticed i have a bright white dot or a patch looking thing on my screen. It actually looks like a clump of pixels that are white. on my screen as well, so hopefully they can replace it on that basis.

Stuck pixels maintain their color regardless of background. Try placing red, green and blue swatches over the area and see if the color there remains consistent.

White would not necessarily be a bright dot - these are usually red, green or blue in color.
